GNL Studio is a trading name of GNL Solutions, providing web design, development and hosting services. We are based in East Sussex, United Kingdom.
We offer custom website design and development, website hosting, domain registration and ongoing website care plans. The specific scope of work for each project is agreed before work begins.
All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued. Prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT (we are not currently VAT registered). The agreed project fee covers everything discussed and confirmed in writing. Any additional work requested after the project has started will be quoted separately.
For website design and build projects, we require a 50% deposit before work begins. The remaining balance is due before the site goes live. For monthly care plans, payment is collected by direct debit on a rolling monthly basis.
You own your website. All HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images and content we create for your project belong to you. If you cancel your care plan or choose to move to another provider, we will provide all of your website files. We will never hold your site hostage.
Third-party assets (fonts, icon libraries, stock images) remain subject to their own licence terms.
Monthly care plans have a 12-month minimum term. After 12 months, plans continue on a rolling monthly basis with one month's notice to cancel. Care plan features are described on our pricing page. We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' written notice.
We aim to keep your website available at all times. However, we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be carried out during off-peak hours where possible and we will notify you in advance. We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party services, DNS propagation or events outside our control.
You are responsible for providing accurate content for your website (text, images, logos). If you provide content that infringes on someone else's copyright or intellectual property, you accept responsibility for that. We are happy to help source stock images and write copy where agreed as part of the project scope.
Content updates included in your care plan cover reasonable changes such as text edits, image swaps, menu updates and similar. Requests that require significant new design or development work (new pages, new features, structural changes) may be quoted separately.
If we register a domain name on your behalf, the domain is registered in your name and belongs to you. We manage the DNS and renewal as part of your care plan. If you leave, we will transfer the domain to you at no extra cost.
We take reasonable care to deliver high-quality work, but we cannot guarantee specific business results (e.g. search rankings, lead volumes, revenue). Our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
We are not liable for any loss of data, revenue or business opportunities arising from the use of our services, except where caused by our negligence.
You may cancel a website project before work has started for a full refund of your deposit. Once design work has begun, the deposit is non-refundable as it covers time and resources already committed. For care plans, the 12-month minimum term and one month's notice period apply as described above.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
