Forest Joinery

The starting point

Forest Joinery is a bespoke joinery workshop in Uckfield making windows, doors, staircases, wardrobes and shopfronts. In May 2026 their web presence was a nine-page template site on Wix, managed at arm's length as part of a directory package. It did the basics, but it was slow, generic, and invisible on Google for the searches that actually bring a joinery workshop customers.

What we built

We rebuilt the site from scratch as a hand-coded static site: project galleries, a page for each service the workshop actually offers, and dedicated area pages for the surrounding towns where they genuinely take on work. The new site went live at www.forestjoinery.co.uk in mid-June 2026, with proper page titles, structured data, a fast lightweight build and a contact form wired to the workshop's email.

Forest Joinery is on our Pro care plan, so the SEO work did not stop at launch: titles and descriptions are tuned, Search Console is monitored, and the area pages continue to be developed.

The results

Checked on 9 August 2026, Forest Joinery ranks number 1 on Google for joinery Uckfield, bespoke joinery Uckfield, bespoke doors Uckfield, restoration joinery Uckfield, shopfronts Uckfield, bespoke staircase Uckfield and shopfront joinery Sussex, with the newer area pages for surrounding towns entering the top ten. These are live search results, and anyone can verify them right now.

Simon at Forest Joinery reports a strong increase in enquiries since the new site went live. We are deliberately publishing that as his report rather than our measurement: enquiry logging on the new site only began in late July 2026, so there is no like-for-like before-and-after count. We would rather under-claim than dress it up.

What this shows

A local trade business does not need a big agency or a big budget to own its local search results. It needs a genuinely fast site, pages that match what customers actually search for, and someone maintaining it after launch.
